Easy to use. Despite their high performance, the EDIsecure XID 590i printer is easy to operate. The EDIsecure XID 590i features a smart LCD display that provides printer status information via text messages, and traffic light-type changes in the color of the LCD display (e.g., green = go/OK, yellow = warning, red = problem/stop).
High Capacity and Flexible. Blank card stock is loaded into a pull-out drawer that can accommodate 300 standard 30 mil CR80 cards. Plus, cards can be added to the drawer while the printer is printing. Different card thicknesses can be accommodated with a quick change using the thickness selector built into the card supply drawer. Additional card drawers are available for customers that frequently alternate between card types. Standard color ribbon (YMCK) and re-transfer film can print up to 1,000 single-sided cards before requiring replacement, and replacement is simplified by the use of color-coded cartridges.
The powerfully-developed printer driver of the EDIsecure XID 590i comes with a very user-friendly graphical user interface for simple and quick operation, providing alerts when errors occur and ribbon and card level monitoring. Even cards with multiple encoding technologies can be personalized and ready for use in one simple process. Using re-transfer printing technology, both contact and contactless smart cards can be effortlessly encoded and printed to the highest standards on both sides - quickly and reliably. Also, the high-quality, high resolution print results of an EDIsecure XID 590i re-transfer printer allows it to be capable of producing 1D and 2D barcodes. In addition, the EDIsecure Inline Lamination Unit option will increase visual security and protect your cards from everyday use and exposure. Digital ID provides overlaminates in varying thicknesses, in clear or standard or custom holographic overlaminates are available.
